Yellow and Green Granny Square Cushion Cover

Still yet to buy buttons for this crochet cushion cover I finished ages ago, but as a stop-gap I secured the back by weaving a length of bias binding though the holes, and knotting it at the ends. Not bad, huh? I'll probably buy buttons to finish it off eventually, but for now I'm pretty happy to leave it like this. I'm working on another cushion cover at the moment using the yarn from my frogged scarf - I thought this might make for a nice, chunky, squeezable cushion, envelope style this time to avoid the button issue (although I haven't tried a crochet cushion this way before). I'll let you know how it works out.

In other news, my sinuses have been so inflamed these last few days that I've turned into a full-on mouth breather. Not very attractive, let me assure you, and very distracting when trying to crochet (or, like...eat stuff, walk places - little things like that). Bleugh. Hope you're feeling healthier than me at the moment! At least I have my sunny cushion to cheer me up.

  4. ooh yes..I would like to have a cushion cover like that one on my couch for sure, the simplicity of it is what is so striking to me, very pretty.
My mom wants a cell phone cover for her Tracfone LG800G smart prepaid phone so that the touch screen doesn't scratch or break if it has a fall as it cost her $50. I think I'd like to borrow your idea of a crocheting a yellow sleeve with a pink square in the middle and an orange center. Thanks for the stimulating idea
